Dean Lumber & Supply Company, Inc., has been supplying Southern Maryland with top building supplies for over 80 years. Dean Lumber of Southern Maryland is dedicated to providing our customers with exemplary services and the highest quality products, products like: Garage Doors and cabinets, Millwork, Woodwork, Insulation, Spray Foam, Closets, Shower Doors, Mirrors, Locksets, Wood and Gas Fireplaces, Mantles, Surrounds, Countertops, Vanities, Siding, Roofing, and more. In the late 1920s Mr. Mervell M. Dean began operations in St.Mary’s County of Maryland supplying sawed logs to the commercial projects in the area. Mr. Dean himself built many commercial buildings in St.Mary’s County and eventually began single family home construction. This construction fueled the need for a better supply of materials in Southern Maryland.

In 1933 Dean Lumber & Supply Company, Inc. began business supplying materials to the contractor trade in and around St. Mary’s County. In the coming years Mr. Frank Dean would join the business and run it for over fifty years serving the community. In 1985 Dean’s built a new 24,000 square foot professional / retail facility and currently operates a custom millwork shop out of its original location.

Now this building houses our Fabrication and Millwork Center, known as DLC Fabricators and Installers.

This is where we make the cabinets, countertops, mouldings, bookcases and more for Dean Lumber of Southern Maryland.
Since our inception Dean Lumber & Supply Company recognizes the most valuable resources to any business are customers and employees. We have been very fortunate to have the best that Southern Maryland offers.

Dean Lumber & Supply Company, Inc. is far more than just a lumber yard. While Dean Lumber of Southern Maryland does offer all the products of a professional yard we have over 15,000 square feet of showroom. On display are interior and exterior doors and windows, sidings including vinyl, wood and fiber cement, roofing, stairs and railings, columns and exterior railings, kitchen and bath centers, garage doors and insulation, gas fireplaces and mantles. All of the products on display are available installed through a network of our professional contractors and our employees.
